A walk to one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Rhodopes – Slivodolsko Padalo

This is the highest waterfall in the Rhodopes and is extremely beautiful
The waterfall is located in the reserve “Chervena Stena”, which gives you the opportunity to enjoy the unique flora and fauna in the area
The trail goes along the river and you will get to see many beautiful smaller waterfalls
When is the best time to visit? ☀️
The best time to visit is late spring when the waterfall is at its fullest. The photos in the article are from a visit at the end of March.
How do you get there? 🏞
When driving along the Asenovgrad-Smolyan road, you should turn right, immediately after the first tunnel after Bachkovo (after the bridge). There is a fishpond at this turnoff, as well as a parking lot. You can leave the car there and head to the right side of the tunnel where you will see a sign for the eco trail to the waterfall.
The walk is extremely pleasant and captivating, because moving parallel to the river, you will see a number of smaller waterfalls and rapids. It will take you about 50 minutes to get to the falls and about 40 minutes back.
