400 “Boxes from Bulgaria” with a cause
In January 2024 the youth humanitarian organization Rotaract Bulgaria turned to the “Box from Bulgaria” team to create and prepare gifts for the international guests of the European Rotaract Conference, which Sofia hosted. At this conference, guests from Rotaract clubs all over Europe arrive in order to explore and get to know our country, as well as to make contacts that will help them in the implementation of humanitarian projects for the benefit of society.
The aim of the organizers was to welcome all the guests with gifts representing Bulgarian culture, history and values. Therefore, “Box from Bulgaria” was the perfect choice, and with great enthusiasm we created a box design that would meet the needs of the event.
Both Rotaract and “Box from Bulgaria” are organizations for which the social element is extremely important. Therefore, our team contacted the Union of the Deaf in Bulgaria (SGB) and the Association of Parents of Children with Impaired Hearing (ARDUS), who gladly responded to the idea of partnership. Our team organized two box assembly workshops and more than 30 children, youth and parents participated with great enthusiasm. It was a pleasure for us to get to know these wonderful organizations and their activities, as well as to create boxes together. As a sign of gratitude, both organizations received donations from “Rotaract Bulgaria” for the development of their activities and goals.
